What do you guys think of this for $4350? !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!
I'm wary of the GForce Performance Chip. I'd rather not have that potentially mucking up the ECU.

Gforce chip? is that one of those ebay resistors that manipulates the MAF to read lean for "mo pah!" ?
yeah no I don't like that....

When you decide on it, keep us posted :D I'm looking at a car I can use for college and among the Camrys and Accords, I've been particularly interested in a 944 that's always in the Business building parking lot. And I don't feel it makes much sense to get it.
But racecar.

I believe so. I don't need more power. I just want stock power!

Nothing about what that product does is good, at all.... Its just bought by idiots who fall into ebay part hype and don't know how to mod cars.

Get it!

Pros: Fuchs, looks fairly clean/good nick.
Cons: That chip thingy. However, I'm going to assume the the chip can be removed, reverting it back to stock parameters. Normally, I'm also leery of K&Ns, since they can sometimes play havoc with MAF sensors. But, the 944's Motronic uses an electro-mechanical air flow meter, not a mass air flow meter. It shouldn't be an issue, but I'm no expert.

That's good news. Plus if I choose to go back to a paper filter, it's no skin off my nose to dump the K&N that I didn't pay money for.
It looks like this guy tried to boost the performance of his 944 in cost-effective ways, except without the effective part. Also, I'll add the black paint to the list of pros. I'd rather have that than the more common Guards Red.

Yea, in this case, the black is a pro. I usually hate black (I was a detailer), but it's one of the better shades on these cars.

As a detailer, what are your concerns with black? Swirls and fading? I've never owned a black car. The closest I've gotten is my Grand Prix which is a dark metallic teal.

Yeah, swirls and fine scratches. Dirt, dust, water spots, overspray, pollen, whatever. Everything shows up the most against black. It just takes a lot more time and effort to get it to look good and keep it that way. Any dark colour is a pain in the ass, black just a bit more so. If this is the colour of your GP:
then black won't really be much harder to take care of.
Conversely, a silver or light gold/beige can be scratched & dirty and the colour camouflages it.

This is my actual car.
It may be more work than a lighter color, but I really enjoy the look of it.
